Terms and Conditions.
- Prior to Installation
-
A site survey will be carried out to assess the suitability of the property for design of a desired system. Interior and exterior measurements will be taken. We will carry out an
inspection of the electrical service supply area including the existing consumer unit. The electrical meter type and number will be required. If you can supply details of your usage
of power, this can help in engineering the right solution for you.
-
Any plans required will be drawn up and presented to you for acceptance. Upon acceptance, a signed agreement will be required prior to commencement of work.
-
G99 - Installations of solar panels on a single phase electricity supply require prior written approval from the Distribution Network Operator (D.N.O.) if your
inverter is rated to produce above 16A / 3.68kW per phase or 11.04kW for a three-phase supply.
-
G98 - Prior permission is not required with an inverter under 16A / 3.68kW per phase or 11.04kW for a three-phase supply. However, these installations
require a 'fit and inform' process where the D.N.O. is notified within 28 days of your installation.
- Prior approval is required for battery with backup functionality installations.
- All applications are a chargeable item.
- Payment
-
On acceptance of a quote or estimate, you will receive an invoice for goods required. Full payment of any such invoice is to be received to place an order for such goods.
Should you make payment to then request a cancelation of an order prior to the order being placed, the amount repaid will be that paid amount minus 8 percent plus the Bank of England base rate.
Goods ordered from any third party are the responsibility of that party to deliver direct to premises.
Once delivery has been made to premises, you take whole responsibilty for those goods.
-
Upon completion of any service carried out, the full balance remaining shall be paid by you and received by us within 7 calendar days.
Should the full balance not be received within this time, interest will be applied to the outstanding amount beginning at the end of this period.
The rate of interest is 8 percent in addition to the Bank of England base rate at that time.
-
Should it become evident that goods or services are required that reasonably were not previously foreseen as required, they shall be paid for upon receipt of invoice by you,
under the above stated timescales.
- Delivery of Goods
-
Goods delivered to your premises should be received in person and inspected thoroughly for damage upon delivery. If damage exists and it is reasonable to accept goods with a view to
arrangements to be made to have defective items replaced, the damage should be documented and photographed and noted on the courier delivery acceptance paperwork with your signature.
In such situations, we will pass on photo evidence with relevant detail to arrange refund or replacement. We will not be held liable for any costs arising from such
situations. Refunds or replacements cannot be processed unless this process is followed.
- Warranty of Goods
- Hardware includes all tangible products of an installation. Product warranties and guarantees are provided by manufacturers and are included in the cost of purchase.
- E.V. Chargers
-
Hardware has its warranty supplied by the manufacturer.
- Solar Panels and Energy Storage
-
Solar panel warranties can be affected by alteration of, improper installation of or the use of faulty equipment. It is worth noting that manufacturers do not protect against certain damage
including hail, lightning, fire, vandalism. In such cases, this is where insurance may protect you. It is up to the owner of a system to ensure appropriate insurance cover.
-
Solar panel product warranty varies by manufacturer and model. Traditionally, warranties last 10-15 years although it is becoming more common for warranties to last 20-25 years.
-
Solar panel performance warranty ensures each panel maintains a certain level of output throughout its lifetime which is typically 25 years. A performance warranty guarantees a maximum
level of degradation - typically between 0.25% and 0.75% per year. A panel is expected to have between 80% and 90% of its as new power output at 25 years.
